BREEAM Director announces new development for BREEAM

According to 'Best of BREEAM 2015' BREEAM certifications and assessments have grown significantly since their beginnings in the late 80s, and spread far across the globe; from the initial offices in Watford, England to the exotic shores of South Korea, Kazakhstan and Iraq.

During this time thousands of clients the world over have received ratings and certifications on their buildings and many different sectors have benefitted from such qualifications. Encon Associates ourselves have provided many industries with BREEAM assessments; including retail, offices, healthcare and education, and thanks to BRE’s new development it looks like new homes are next.

The launch at Ecobuild 2015 of BRE’s exciting new development, the Home Quality Mark, will ‘provide those buying or renting new homes with the information they need on wide ranging aspects of the building’, according to Gavin Dunn, Director of BREEAM. This means that new homes have the opportunity to be BREEAM assessed before and during build, and will come equipped with a qualification for new tenants.

Since 1998, around 425,000 buildings have been BREEAM certified. Want your next project to join them? Contact us to find out more.
