Job Opportunity for an Assistant Acoustic Consultant
Due to an expanding workload, an opportunity has arisen to join our growing Acoustic team within our consultancy practice.
An exciting opportunity to join our Chartered multi-disciplinary consultancy in Nottingham, providing sustainability and environmental consultancy to the construction industry. Encon Associates were established in 2008 and we undertake a variety of environmental noise surveys and subsequent noise impact assessments to assist with the planning process or compliance with BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes.
This role would suit someone currently completing the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control. We can offer part time working with flexible hours to fit around studying and the possibility of a full-time position on completion of the diploma.
As an Assistant Acoustic Consultant, your duties will include:
Supporting senior staff to ensure projects are delivered
Carrying out attended and unattended noise surveys for a range of projects within the UK, occasionally this will be at night time and weekends
Liaising with clients effectively to understand their requirements
Liaising with Environmental Health Officers
Carrying out assessments in accordance with BS 8233:2014, BB93:2015 and BS 4142:2014
