Awards season is upon us! Yes, it’s not only Tinsel Town that gets to honour its brightest and best stars with awards and accolades; and next week it’s BREEAM’s turn! The BREEAM Awards 2016 will take place at the majestic London Marriot Hotel and will be presented this year by journalist, broadcaster - and, of course, past Strictly Come Dancing contestant - John Sergeant.
According to BREEAM, nominees and winners “represent the leading examples of construction projects assessed and certified in the preceding calendar year, each demonstrating an holistic approach to the environmental aspects of their specification, design and construction.”
It’s a true honour to receive a nomination for BREEAM’s prestigious awards, and Encon Associates are proud to have been nominated in 2015 for our work on the Beatrice Tate School; which achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating of 80.4%. As well as this, Encon Associates won the BREEAM Award for the Highest Rated Industrial Building in the UK back in 2011, when we were responsible for delivering the BREEAM Industrial Assessment for a new industrial unit with office space and warehouse in South Wales.
We’re extremely proud of our past prizes and nominations and know that this year the BREEAM awards will be as spectacular and exciting as always; shining the spotlight on the environmental construction industry and ushering more professionals into the trade.
