Encon Associates were commissioned to provide BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Assessment for a Mixed Use scheme in Islington, London. The mixed-use proposal for this corner site optimised the development potential to deliver 9 luxury apartments and commercial space at ground floor. The residential accommodation includes 8 two bed and 1 three bed penthouse suite.

The Solution

The proposed scheme is to demolish an existing building and construct 4 storeys of residential accommodation with offices on the ground floor.

 

 

   

Encon Associates provided an initial Pre-Assessment under BREEAM Offices to assist the Design Team in ensuring the specification for the new building would meet the BREEAM 'Very Good' rating. Other services have also been provided on this project including Code for Sustainable Homes and Ecological Services.
