Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) are required for both Residential and Commercial buildings.

Where a building is expected to have heating, mechanical ventilation or air conditioning installed, it will require an EPC based on the assumed fit-out in accordance with the requirements in Part L of the Building Regulations.

Residential Energy Performance Certificates

Under the European Building Directive all residential properties are now required to have an Energy Performance Certificate in place at the time of new tenancy or sale.

As a property owner-occupier or residential landlord who is thinking of selling or renting, it is your responsibility to ensure that your property has a valid home energy certificate detailing your property's energy efficiency rating.

Encon Associates are able to provide you with the necessary certification to ensure you meet your responsibilities under the new regulations.

Commercial Energy Performance Certificates

From 1st October 2008, all commercial buildings or non dwellings, save for a few excepted cases, will require an Energy Performance Certificate on construction, sale or let.

Encon Associates are able to provide you with the necessary certification to ensure you meet your legal responsibilities.
