Providing a comfortable environment for work is a requirement of the HSE’s Workplace Health and Safety Guide and in the instances of Educational and Healthcare buildings something that must meet HQM or BB101 guidelines.
Our Thermal Modelling Service
We produce a fully CIBSE AM11 Compliant Thermal model and carry out full dynamic thermal modelling and analysis, all in line with CIBSE and BRE requirements. Our assessors are Level 5 qualified and have in depth knowledge of energy and overheating requirements.
Using the project plans, our experts use Dynamic Simulation Modelling, also known as DSM, to accurately reflect the building being modelled. We then use IES-VE software to run the model and provide us with the information to then write the report.
Mandatory requirement?
Many projects types, such as Healthcare and Schools, have thermal modelling as a mandatory requirement to provide evidence that it meets building regulations (Healthcare HTM 03-01/ Schools BB101). A main reason for this is proving that it doesn't overheat across the course of a year in occupied areas, as well as various other criteria.
Project Orsted - a building model is created before importing into IES-VE to run Thermal Modelling analysis
Thermal Modelling for Environmental Credits
If your project is working towards an environmental assessment, our Thermal Modelling service can help achieve the following credits:
