Automatic Traffic Counters
For highways with greater volumes of traffic, we can install an ATC to gather 24-hour data, 7 days a week. The inductive tube system records the speed and type of vehicle passing over the tubes and is especially useful where local authorities require comprehensive, robust data for the calculation of 85th percentile speeds. Encon Associates can then provide a 'Report of Findings' suitable for submission to the planners and provide analysis of the data to calculate the required 'visibility splays' for the development.
