Aldi Food Store
Encon Associates were commissioned by Aldi as part of their framework agreement to provide landscape design consultancy for their new stores across the Midlands. Our role is to produce landscape proposals to achieve planning consent for their roll out of new food stores.
A number of existing mature trees along the frontage were retained and integrated as part of the overall landscape design intended to provide ecological enhancement and a practical urban planting.
Appearance is high on Aldi’s agenda when building new stores and landscaping is a key part of creating an attractive development which is visually appealing to its customers. Working closely with Stoas Architects from Birmingham, a planning application was submitted for the demolition of the existing garage on site and construction of a new 1,200m2 food store including landscape proposals produced by Encon Associates landscape architects.

I have worked with Tyler on a couple of projects recently and have been very impressed with the service provided to date. In an industry which typically needs information “yesterday” he has always met the tight deadlines promised with competence and diligence. On this basis we will continue to work closely with Encon and look forward to forging our relationship further with them on other future projects.
