Encon Associates supported the development of the Home Bargains Speke Boulevard in Liverpool. Our team provided expert landscape design and air quality assessment, helping to create a sustainable, welcoming and high-quality urban space.
The project aimed to regenerate a derelict site, delivering employment opportunities while enhancing the local community. Our work ensured the development aligned with national and regional design policies, contributing to a safe, attractive, and environmentally conscious public realm.
The redevelopment involved a landmark retail and leisure destination on the western side of the site and employment units to the east, with careful consideration of accessibility, pedestrian linkages, and public transport connections. The masterplan promotes flexibility, visibility for retail users, and a high standard of design that complements the surrounding built environment.
