The Solution

A number of existing mature trees along the frontage were retained and integrated as part of the overall landscape design intended to provide ecological enhancement and a practical urban planting.Appearance is high on Aldi's agenda when building new stores and landscaping is a key part of creating an attractive development which is visually appealing to its customers.  Working closely with Stoas Architects from Birmingham, a planning application was submitted for the demolition of the existing garage on site and construction of a new 1,200m2 food store including landscape proposals produced by Encon Associates landscape architects.
