The aim of this credit is "To reduce carbon emissions and atmospheric pollution by encouraging local energy generation from renewable sources to supply a significant proportion of the energy demand."
To meet compliance with this credit you will need to
undertake Part L Calculations by a Suitably Qualified Energy Assessor who is registered and licensed to undertake commercial energy assessments for commercial projects (SBEM), or residential energy assessments for multi-residential project or a project where residential dwellings are present (SAP) .
You will be required to produce an EPC as part of your evidence requirements for BREEAM.
You will also need to undertake early stage energy assessment to determine reductions in CO2 emissions and determine the feasibility of the various low or zero carbon technologies available.
SBEM/Part L Calculations

SAP/Part L Calculations
Our head energy energy assessor has 25 years experience of energy assessment and is licensed and registered to undertake simple SAP calculations right through to advanced SAP calculations for large dwellings.
EPC
