By appointing Encon Associates as BREEAM Sustainability Champion, it opens the design team to additional credits afforded only to schemes where our experienced consultants guide and lead the BREEAM process from RIBA stage C.
About the Sustainability Champion role
The role of a qualified Sustainability Champion (formerly known as Accredited Professional AP) is to help reach the rating and maximise the opportunity throughout a project, best appointed early in the design process, ideally RIBA Stage 0-2 (Concept Design).
By attending key design team meetings, Encon Associates can offer expert advice to ensure that BREEAM targets are met and the potential to gain 3 credits or 1.65% against the BREEAM overall score under BREEAM 2011, or 2 credits and 2% against BREEAM 2008.
Encon Associates also offer standalone BREEAM Accredited Professional services for clients who already have a BREEAM Assessor appointed. As all of our BREEAM AP’s are also qualified BREEAM Assessors they can integrate within the existing design team smoothly and efficiently.
