Our experience of the Healthcare sector, from hospitals to nursing homes, as well as being BREEAM assessors, enables us to apply the BREEAM Healthcare assessment methodology for the Department of Health and the Welsh Health Estates.
We can fully assist you and your design team to ensure the highest environmental standards are met and BREEAM healthcare assessment ratings are achieved.
About BREEAM Healthcare assessments
BREEAM Healthcare will replace the existing NEAT (NHS Environmental Assessment Tool), requiring all new hospitals to achieve a BREEAM rating of 'Excellent'.
As of 1st of July 2008, the Department of Health required, as part of the Outline of Business Case approval, that all new builds achieve an 'Excellent' and all refurbishments achieve a 'Very Good' rating under BREEAM Healthcare.
Encon Associates can use BREEAM Healthcare to assess all healthcare buildings containing medical facilities at any stage of their lifecycle such as:
- New builds
- Major refurbishments
- Existing buildings in operation
IES TaP for BREEAM
When using Encon Associates as your BREEAM assessor, the IES TaP for BREEAM tracking system will be used throughout the project to provide project management, progress reporting and integrated submission to BRE for QA and BREEAM certification.
You can read more about IES TaP and the benefits it brings to your BREEAM project.
