Encon Associates win BREEAM Award for the highest rated industrial building in the UK.
Presented with the award at the prestigious BRE awards ceremony at this years Ecobuild event, Encon Associates were responsible for delivering the BREEAM Industrial Assessment for an new industrial unit with office space and warehouse in South Wales.
The new building in Felin Fach, Swansea scored well thanks to its detailed construction site waste management plan which helped achieve good practice, use of recycled aggregates with at least 25% sourced from sites within close proximity and sub-metering of all significant energy uses.
Encon Associates were delighted to receive the award from Carol Atkinson, Chief Executive of BRE Global on behalf of everyone involved in the project.
Glenn Miles, Head of Sustainability at Encon Associates stated "This is a great result and recognition for a project team that has worked hard to achieve such high levels of sustainability which is not always easy for such industrial schemes.
